April was quite the month: I opened for a touring artist for the first time and played a really cool cafe turned speakeasy. May looks like it’ll be another month of firsts for venues!
I’m kicking off the month of music at Hardywood RVA with Justin for another set as the Same Side Sitters this Saturday, May 2nd from 6:30 to 9 pm. We’re hoping to be outside, but will move into the Barrel Room, weather-depending.
On May 11th, I’ll be performing as part of a Songwriters Showcase at The Camel alongside talented artists like Adam Cotton from Jacksonville, Florida, and Virginia locals Robbie Bradshaw and Caroline Bowling. Music starts at 8 pm.
It’s back to the mountains for a hometown gig at Buffalo Mountain Brewery and McDaniel’s Tavern on Saturday, May 16th. SO excited to spend a beautiful afternoon in Floyd at one of my favorite spots. I’ll be slinging tunes with some special guests from 1 to 4 pm.
I’m rounding out the month with another first, making my debut at Harry’s at Hofheimer on May 20th! Weather-depending, I’ll either be up on the rooftop or in the Libraryโfollow me on Instagram to stay updated. Come join me from 7 to 9 pm!
Lastly, I’m continuing to host the Virago Songwriters Open Mic Night along with Louis Smith every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The first month was a success and I’m excited to keep building momentum. If you’re a songwriter, sign up ahead of time here, orโif you’re afraid of commitmentโsign up at the event! Even if you’re not a songwriter, come out to enjoy a craft cocktail and witness RVA’s incredible talent.
*I host every other week. So no, I will not miraculously be at two places at once on May 20th!
Hope to see some familiar faces this month! I’ll have my merch at each show, so definitely pick up a new sticker if you haven’t already.
Happy May, folks!
